Please support Macaabi/USA and my team

I was so excited to receive an acceptance letter to join the 2009 United States Maccabiah Juniors Girl's Soccer Team.

Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel is the sponsor of the USA Team to the World Maccabiah Games held every four years in Israel. It is the 3rd largest international sporting event in the world! These games are more than Olympic-style competitions for Jewish athletes from around the world. There is something magical; a certain feeling that touches the heart and soul of everyone who participates. It's not a feeling that abruptly fades away at the conclusion of the competition; rather it changes lives.

I have been playing club level soccer for the last 8 years and for the past three I have been part of the Georgia Olympic Development Program team. My club team has been first in the state for the past two years, number three in the region and is ranked nationally in the top 10. I have had the opportunity to play in many venues and travel extensively in the US. It has always been my dream to be part of the "Jewish Olympics", and I'm very excited to support Israel, represent the Atlanta Jewish community and the United States, and be part of this wonderful worldwide event.

The Maccabi experience and all that is represents is dependent upon the generosity of others. As part of the USA World Maccabiah Team, I am doing my part in the fundraising efforts to ensure that the tradition of Maccabiah goes on; therefore I am asking for your help.
